Sandra Kay McDonald passed away peacefully, early Sunday morning, January 6, 2019 at Cottage in the Meadow, where she spent her last few days of life surrounded by her loved ones. Sandi was born on September 15, 1942 to Henry and Margeret (Margaret?) Manda.
Sandi worked at Independent food processors as a truck transport manager for 37 ½ years. She was married to Dwain McDonald for 37 years. Her greatest blessing was raising her grandson, Jake. She enjoyed her dogs, spending time with family and friends, and reading books.
She is survived by her sister, Judy Gattis (Dan), her grandsons, Jacob McDonald and Joe Briscoe, her niece, Kristen Stoltenow, her nephew, Kirt Gattis, and her great grandchildren. Sandi is preceded in death by her husband, her sister, Diana Jones, and her parents.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at West Hills Memorial Park (11800 Douglas Rd., Yakima, WA 98908) at 2:00 PM. Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.brooksidefhc.com.
