Tony Harris was granted his wings to heaven on November 28, 2018. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and friends that he touched in so many ways.
Tony was born on November 18, 1968 in Lawrence County, Al in which he was raised by his two loving parents Charles and Charles Ann (Harris) Warren in Town Creek, Al. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Tony graduated from Hazlewood High School in 1988. He would further his education by attending The University of Mississippi. In the midst of that he would marry his high school sweetheart Freda (Jones) Harris prior to transferring to Mississippi State University in which he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1992.
Tony took a few years after college to play Arena Football in Tampa Bay, Fl where he got to travel all across the country and see the world. Tony returned to Town Creek in his early years to raise and provide for his wife and family.
Tony was the most hardworking and outgoing father, husband, friend, and coach God could share his blessing with. He was quite the star athlete in his early years. Earning Class 2A player of the year at The Hazlewood High School and went along to win state titles in football, basketball, and track. He backed up his talents with playing and starting at defensive back in the SEC. As much as he loved the game, he decided to put the pads down to provide for his wife and kids. Tony had a smile that could light up room. A personality that could make anyone’s day and dance moves that would take your breath away. A man who was crazy about his wife, children, and grandchildren. A man who gave the Class of 88’ memories they would remember forever. A man who gave the community big laughs and entertainment. A hardworking man that loved his job and gave Hexcel Corp. 16 years of enjoyment.
Tony Harris gave everyone and the world what we needed, and that’s Love.
