Donnie Duvall, 64, of Atkins, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. He was born December 11, 1953, in Russellville, son of the late Burl Jack and Esther Mae Reed Duvall. He was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church and played bass and sang with the Oak Grove Singers for more than 40 years. He was retired from the Army National Guard and the Arkansas State Highway Department, and was most recently a bus driver for the Atkins School District.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rickey Duvall.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jackie Powers Duvall; son, Jeremy Duvall and wife Melissa; 3 daughters, Laura and husband Ernie Holbrook, Rachel and husband Matt Ketchum, and Abbi and husband Joey Balch; sister, Sandra Duvall; grandchildren, Coby and Noah Robinson, Josh, Kyle, and J.R. Holbrook, Jayden and Kenna Mae Ketchum; great-grandson, Noah Holbrook; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Friday, June 1, at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Simmons and Bro. Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, at Lemley Chapel.
Pallbearers are Matt Ketchum, Jeremy Duvall, Kevin Duvall, Joey Balch, Philip Duvall, and Ernie Holbrook. Honorary pallbearers are J.R. Holbrook, Jayden Ketchum, Damon Jackson, Johnny Johnston, and Atkins School bus drivers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
