Robert T. "Bobby" Horne, Sr, 85, husband of 61 years to Betty June Horne, entered into rest Tuesday, January1, 2019, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 2PM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend John Bartlett and Reverend David Shelton officiating.
Mr. Horne, son of the late Naomi Knox Williams and Robert E. Horne, was a graduate of Richmond Academy. A veteran of the United States Navy, he served in the Korean Conflict and retired from the US Army reserves with twenty years of service. He retired from the US Postal Service as Post Master of Hephzibah GA after 37 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his brother William E. "Billy" Horne.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Robert T. Horne, Jr. (Debi)

Bobby loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all his heart, soul and mind, and went home to be with Him, surrounded by family and love after an 8 month battle with Pancreatic Cancer. His soul left just before midnight on New Years Eve, though his body continued until 8:30 am Jan. 1. He is "Free Indeed"!
