On December 5, 1981, Gary married the love of his life Carole at the Unity Village in Lee's Summit, Missouri and instantly gained two children who became his entire life.
Gary was a truck driver for Jack Cooper Transport, Kansas City, Missouri for 37 years until his retirement in 2007. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Gary was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #41, Kansas City, Missouri. He enjoyed working outside, going to the lake and his horses and cows.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by his wife, Carole McKay of the home; a son, Steve Anderson, Cleveland, Missouri; a daughter, Michelle Helt and husband Shawn, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 7 grandchildren, Kaila, Sydney, Sutter, Slater, Ashlyn, Laicey and Mia; a sister, Mary Susan Scott, Milan, Missouri; his beloved dog, Winston; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
