She was born May 23, 1944, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Virgil Loren & Merle Ferne Cooper Baker.
She met her life partner, Edward D Barnes, Sr in 1984. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2018.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina (Dan) Baker of Milan, IL; sons, Loren Cooke of Davenport, IA and John (Tara) Cooke of Ironwood, MI; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Virgil and Duane Baker; and one son Paul C Cooke II.
