PORTSMOUTH- Christian "Chris" Ross Warren, 46, was unexpectedly called home December 27, 2018 surrounded by his entire immediate family.

Five weeks ago Chris was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer which had metastasized to his bones. He had started treatments and was starting to feel much better. He was rushed to Harborview Emergency hospital December 27, 2018 where they discovered he had pneumonia, but his body was already so weak from the cancer treatments.

Chris was a kind, caring, generous husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. He leaves his wife, Terry Redditt of Portsmouth VA; daughters, Catherine Burke (Kevin Burke) and Dianna Warren; son, Cassidy Warren; stepsons, Marc and Derek Redditt; his mother and father, Susan and Richard Warren; sister, Robin Warren Mixon; brothers, Bryan Warren and Alan Warren Turner; beloved cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia on August 22, 1972.

Chris spent most of his life settled in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Chris has always been a fighter, since his wrestling days at Cradock High School, where he later graduated in '91. He was also in boys scouts growing up with Troop 233, were he worked his way up and became Eagle Scout. As an active uncle to his nephews, he encouraged them to follow his achievements and to become a boy scout.

Chris was a hard worker doing many jobs over the years. Even waking up with pneumonia and shortness of breath, he was "going to work!" He worked for Hydraulic Repair Corporation.
For many years, Chris loved going to the family beach house "HAPPYS PLACE" where he would spend an abundance of time with family over the summers. He was envied for his bronzed summer skin tone and gorgeous eyelashes and green eyes.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 3, at 3:00 PM in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. Tom Potter.
