Lonie Ann Quattlebaum was the daughter of George Washington Quattlebaum and Mary Shealy. Lonie married Abner C. Still and had 12 kids.

"In Memory of Lonie A. Still
On the 7th instant, death came with his cruel sting and took from us Mrs. L. A. Still. She was born in Edgefield District S.C., in the year 1813.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Quattlebum (should be Quattlebaum), was married to Mr. Abner Still in 1830. They came to the "Land of Rest" in 1835, and had since been living in this state, and in Chambers County. She joined the Baptist church in S.C., at the age of nineteen years, was baptized by Rev. John Trapp, afterward moving to this country, she moved her membership to Mount Peril (should be Mount Paran, original name of Rock Spring Church), where she remained a member until the dissolution of that church, then moved her membership to Rock Springs and was a consistent member there until her death. She lived to the age of eighty-one years.
Sixty-two years of her life was devoted to the advancement of the Master's cause. Her dear form now rests 'neath a swell of earth. Her sweet white lips are closed for aye, and her waves of influence are still in motion - causing us to recall to memory the sunny places in our lives, which we have passed so carelessly.
Life's duties pressed her on though she did not shrink from the burden, seeming to realize that not far on before her waited a fairer place. Our Father's gentle and loving hand guided her through this world. Eight years ago death took her beloved companion, to whom she was ever faithful and true. She has often said, as she was blind and almost helpless, that she knew not why the Lord was keeping her here but it was for some purpose. s a wife, she was loving and affectionate, as a mother kind and sympathetic, as a sister pleasant and benevolent. Shadows deep and dark, rest upon that lovely spot, where but a few months past all was light and joy.
Yet faith can sill lift its eyes of hope, brightened with a smile, conscious that the arm of Him, who doth all things well wrought this desolation.
"Who can tell of mother's love?
Who can measure save God above?
Who can tell of a mother's loss
Except those who bear that heave cross."
The funeral was preached by Rev. C. J. Burden from the text: "Though a man die, yet shall he live again," to a large and attentive congregation.
Her remains were interred in Rock Spring's Cemetery. She left seven children beside a great many other relatives and friends to mourn her absence.
But the beautiful religion which she has so often inculcated and so illustrated in her pure and guileless life will teach them that God knows best, and may the memory of the life she led be green in their hearts like the leaves whose bright and fresh hue never fades.
