Philip J. "Phil" Miller, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019.
Phil served in Navy during the Korean Era. Phil graduated from The University of Louisville with his Master's Degree, and then went on to work as a Substance Abuse Counselor until his retirement.
He was born on March 13, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky to Rudolph and Leona Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Leona Miller; and his sister, Marie White.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Alice "Ali" Gottbrath Miller; siblings, Barbara Craft (Bob), Nancy Struck (Bill), Joseph Miller (Kelly), Leo Miller and Bernard Miller (Linda).
Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel, (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). Visitation will resume on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at Southeast Christian Church (920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243). Burial will be held at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood, KY.
