Ludowici – Joy Rebecca “Becky” Swindell Davis, 56, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home. She was born in Jesup and lived in Long County all of her life. She had previously worked for civil service at Ft. Stewart until leaving to be a homemaker and mother. She was an advocate for developmentally disabled, blind, and autistic children. Her children were the main focus of her life and she was a member of First Baptist Ludowici. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Swindell.
Survivors are her twin daughters, Erin Rebecca and Alison Jean Davis of Ludowici; mother, Joyce Gordon Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Terri and Mike McGowan and Billie Ann and Kerry Wingate, all of Ludowici and Toni Dykes of Colonel’s Island; former mother-in-law, Lucille Davis of Hinesville; devoted friend and caregiver, Keith Wheeler of Ludowici. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 7 at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Pusser officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the chapel.
