Brian C. Ford, age 76, passed away on February 1, 2018. He was born on March 14, 1941 in Chicago, the son of Clarence Ford and Violet (Ellison) Ford. On March 18, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, he married Joyce K. (Winther) Ford. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Joyce; his two daughters Leslie (Jeff) Williams and Lisa (Mark) Weiksner both of Marengo and grandchildren Kristy (Kevin Henmueller) Streu, Kim (Brian) Miller, Dan Williams, Amanda (Kep Steiger) Streu, Brian Streu, Joshua Streu and stepgrandson Matt Weiksner. He graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago, IL. and worked as a Chief Engineer in the Tool & Die Industry for many years. He retired from Ramcel Engineering in 2002. His whole world revolved around his family. He loved to travel with the love of his life, his wife. He treasured his time that he and Joyce spent with each of their grandchildren, especially numerous trips to Disney World. Most of all, he loved his wife, and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included classic cars, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and Oldsmobile club events. He loved tinkering in his out building on his cars and cherished his 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88, in addition to his standard poodle dog, Abbey. According to his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Union, Illinois, from 9am to 11am, with a service at 11am. He is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jane and Henry Winther.
