Debbie received an associate degree in computer science from John Tyler Community College, Chester, VA and retired from the United States Postal Service, Montrose Station. She was employed in PTO for J.E.J. Moore Middle School and N.B. Clements Junior High, Prince George County, VA. She also worked for the Prince George County Board of Elections at the Blackwater Precinct, The Food Bank, Bond Booster and Red Cross. She was the worthy recorder for Naomi Household of Ruth #5923 of the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows and Household of Ruth and NAACP member. She was a member of Loving Union Baptist Church, Disputanta, VA.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2007 at the Loving Union Baptist Church, Disputanta, VA.
