Wm. B. Cowan, 58, Died Here Thursday

Funeral services will be held here Saturday at 10 a.m. for W. B. Cowan, pioneer mason who died Thursday at the age of 58. He had been quite ill and a patient at St. John's hospital most of the winter, but had been discharged and was on the way to recovery.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on September 21, 1878, he migrated to Jackson Hole in 1902 where he and his father maintained the only brick kiln ever to be operated in the valley.

A brick layer and plasterer by trade, Mr. Cowan played an important part in the construction of the old Jackson Hotel and other brick buildings of the town.

The funeral services will be in charge of the local Odd Fellows lodge with Rev. E. M. Lofstrom officiating.
