Donna Elizabeth Morey 79, formerly of Barton Hill Road Schoharie, NY passed away Friday January 4th at the Baptist Retirement & Nursing Center in Scotia after a long illness.
Donna was born January 19, 1939 in Schenectady, NY a daughter of Everett D. and Pauline (vonLinden) Snyder.
She graduated from Schoharie High School in 1957 and SUNY Oneonta in 1961.
She retired after teaching Kindergarten for several years at Schalmont School and was a longtime member of the Schoharie Reformed Church serving as one of its first Women Deacons.
A member of the Lambda Nu Sorority, Donna also enjoyed dancing, tending her flower gardens, traveling, camping, and snowmobiling.
Donna married Robert J. Morey (Ret. NYS Police) on October 10, 1964. He predeceased her on July 11, 2003. Survivors include her son; Brett (Tess) Morey of Schenectady and her grandson Robert P. Morey.
Burial will be in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery.
