William "Bill" Joseph WHEAT May 5, 1930 ~ August 11, 2018
Long-time Woodinville residents, William "Bill" Joseph Wheat and Rosaline ("Rosalie") Marie Wheat, passed away at home on August 11th and August 23rd. respectively. Bill and Rosalie were married for 64 years and remained the love of each other's life. Bill was born in Seattle, attended Bothell High School - Class of '49, and joined the Air Force during the Korean War. For many years Bill worked construction around the Pacific Northwest. His true passion was flying. In 1963, he packed up his family and moved to Richland to join his Dad and brothers operating Richland Flying Service. Many adventures would follow, and Bill was always enthusiastic about any opportunity to fly. They returned to Woodinville in 1981, where Bill worked for Western Cabinet. Bill loved to fish and watch his favorite baseball and football teams. He was a loyal friend and nearly every day, joined his long-time group of buddies for coffee. Bill and Rosalie will be greatly missed by many, especially their three daughters, Wendy (Rodger) Wheat-McCoy, Lori (Dennis) Beeler Cooper, Katherine Wheat, Bill's siblings, Buck Wheat, Robbie Taipale, Larry Wheat, and Gerry Eagle, and many nieces and nephews. They also leave behind five grandchildren, Christopher (Meghan), Stephen (Alyssa), and Sharhesa Fife, and Kaycee and Jacob Beeler, six step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of their lives will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood. All are welcome!
