Henry D. Kirchhoff, 73, of the Milvern Guest Home, Waterloo, died Monday, June 14 at 8:30 a.m. of a heart condition. Services were held at 1 o'clock Wednesday, June 16 at the Chapel of Memories in Waterloo.

He was born Feb. 13, 1899 in Bremer County and lived there until he moved to Waterloo. He was the son of Henry and Sophie Kirchhoff, Sr. and he was married to Nina Niece Moyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two sisters.

Mr. Kirchhoff was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Surviving are one son, LaVerne Kirchhoff of Waterloo, five step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cory, Mrs. Ruby Platte, Mrs. Hazel Bartholomew, Mrs. Goldie Struckman all of Waterloo and Emerson Moyer of Shell Rock, his step-mother, Mrs. Ida Kirchhoff of Waverly, one granddaughter, Charlotte Kirchhoff of Waterloo and one grandson, Joel Kirchhoff of Waterloo.

He is also survived by one brother, August Kirchhoff of Denver, two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Wedemeier of Sumner, Mrs. Elise Cook of Wolsey, S. Dak., three half-sisters, Mrs. Helen Bales and Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers of Waverly, and Mrs. Lucille Jungling of Cedar Falls, and one half-brother, Arthur Kirchhoff of Waterloo, one step-sister, Mrs. Irene Matthias of Waterloo, and one step-brother, Walter Wilkens of Waverly.

Funeral Wednesday
Henry Kirchoff, 74, Waterloo, former Bremer County resident died Monday, June 14. Funeral services Wednesday, at Chapel of Memories West, Rev. D. W. Oetting officiating. Burial in Garden of Memories.

Survivors are a son, LaVerne, Waterloo; one brother, two sisters, including Dorothy Wedemeier, Sumner; and one grandson, several step-children, three half sisters and half brother.
