Son of John and Amelia Gill Williams; descendant of James Chilton, Mayflower Passenger,
who arrived along with his wife, and daughter Mary Chilton Winslow.

Died from a fall from a house that was being raised. He was buried in a small plot on his farm near Liberty. A grave marker may be found along the edge of one of the fields among a grove of trees. His wife Ann also buried in the plot on the farm near liberty. His widow married Thomas Malone; no children of that marriage.
