She was born in Salem, MO on September 15, 1933 to the late Vernon and Dorleskia (Blackwell) Gibbs.
On July 15, 1950 she married Teddy Wallace, who survives.
Emma was employed by the Phelps County Regional Medical Center for nineteen years. She was a faithful long term member of the First Baptist Church in Rolla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Larry, Jerry, and Freddy Wallace.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes her husband of 68 years, Ted Wallace, of Doolittle; her daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Jim Stockwood, of Lenexa, KS; one brother, Elton Gibbs, of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Eunice Medlock, of Festus, MO and Edna Kee, of O’Fallon, MO; five grandchildren, Jenny Wallace, of Doolittle, Melissa Wallace, of St. Louis, Joey Swanigan, of Lake Ozark, MO, Chris Stockwood, of Canton, GA and David Stockwood, of Belgium; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service for Emma Wallace will be held at noon on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 11 am Tuesday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Phelps Regional Hospice.
