Carol Ann Freeman of Nicklaus Dr. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday January 4, 2019 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 27, 1949 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank Malinowski and Sadie (Slavis) Malinowski.

Carol was a 1967 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. Upon graduating from high school Mrs. Freeman attended Albany Business School.

She married her husband of over 45 years, David Freeman, on December 1, 1973.

Mrs. Freeman enjoyed working as a travel counselor for AAA Northway for over 25 years until her retirement in 2012.

Carol loved the outdoors and spending time with her family at their camp in Wells, NY. She especially enjoyed camping and kayaking in the Adirondacks with her grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do was to walk along the shore of Maine's coastline alongside her husband. Her highlight each year was hosting a large Christmas Eve party for her family that always included an enthusiastic Yankee Swap full of antics and laughter. She was a member of the Wilton Senior Center and Saratoga Hospital's Breast Cancer Support Group. Carol was blessed to have many friends and family who surrounded her with endless love and support.

Survivors include her husband Dave of Wilton, NY, a son Eric Freeman and his wife Amy of Frisco, TX, a daughter, Nicole Nemecek and her husband Joe of Vestal, NY, a brother Donald Malinowski and his significant other Diane D'Alessandro of Galway, NY, grandchildren Bridget, Benjamin, Hannah and Aiden, and a nephew David Malinowski. She is predeceased by her nephew, John Malinowski.

Burial will be at St. Ann’s cemetery in Wells, NY.
