PATRICIA JEAN ASHWORTH, age 76, of Belvidere, Tenn., departed this life on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was born in Jackson, Michigan on April 30, 1942, to the late Harold Sunkle and Margaret Stark Sunkle. She was homemaker. Ms. Ashworth was known by many as the "Candy Lady". She enjoyed making candy and baking. She was a fun loving person and everyone that knew her loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Arthur Ray Ashworth, Sr., son, Patrick Ashworth, sisters; Debra Segar, Diane Ackley, and Rose Kimmer. She is survived by her children; Arhtur Ashworth, Jr. and wife, Connie of Belvidere, Karen Carr of Detroit, Mich. Angela DeToy and husband, Richard of Onondaga, Mich., Daniel Ashworth and wife, Melanie Shirley of Nashville, Tenn., 13-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Ms. Ashworth is scheduled for 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening January 8, 2019, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
