Antoinette of Dedham, had just completed a brief visit with her husband Charles and four children at her family home built by her parents the late Stanley and Catherine Kowalczyk. She graduated from Dedham High School in 1939 where she was an avid reader, sang in the choir, was involved in school theatrical productions, and held a special passion for playing basketball and running track for which she received recognition for a record-breaking standing broad jump. Antoinette's interests included the visual arts where she received awards in school for drawing. After graduation, Antoinette worked at Hayes Bickford in Boston and later at Rust Craft Greeting Card Company in Dedham.
On June 26, 1949 Antoinette (Tenny) married Charles J. Brown. They were married for 63 years and raised four children.:
1. Georgia Petrasko (Chatham),
2. Dr. Charles S. Brown (Newton),
3. David Lloyd Brown (Boston),
4. Theresa B. Inman (Naples, FL)
Antoinette attended St. Adalbert's Polish Parish in Hyde Park, where she was married, and was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption in Dedham. She is survived by her husband, children; adored 6 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was pre-deceased by parents and siblings:
1. Catherine (Stacia) Grzyb (Brewster),
2. Mary (Joseph J.) Skulski (Dedham), died 2009
3. Blanche Morrissey (Falmouth), died June 19, 2006, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
4. Stanley Kowalczyk (Dedham),
5. Edward Kowalcik ((and wife Janet, Dedham), died 13 Sep 2007 in Norwood.
And pre-deceased by nephew George Grzyb (Dedham), nieces Irene Wildman (Norwood), and Cynthia Kowalczyk (Dedham), and great nephew Michael Grzyb (Dedham).
