Ida Sue was a faithful servant of God throughout her adult life after accepting Christ as her savior and receiving baptism at an early age. She was a member of Mount Comfort Church in Springfield for nearly five decades and faithfully attended ladies bible study.
On Dec. 8, 1953, Ida Sue married John Charles Henderson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1992. Her only child, Sue Ann Doennig, also preceded her in death, as did both parents, one brother, Thomas McNeill and one sister, Virginia Lee McAlister. She is survived by her grandson, Eric Doennig and wife Martha, great grandchildren Harrison, Claire and Molly Doennig, son-in-law, Gerald Doennig, and one brother, Nolan McNeill and wife Barbara. Other survivors include nieces Sharen Beagle and Marci LePage, nephews Ed Lee, Gary McNeill, Nolan G. McNeill, Tracy McNeill, Mark McNeill and Brooks McNeill.
