Mr. George Rainey of 2240 Hudson Landings of Gastonia, NC was born on January 7, 1940 in Gaston County and departed his life on the evening of Tuesday; January 1st, 2019 at 8:15pm. He was the son of late Mrs. Elizabeth Torrances and Mr. George Rainey I.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Rainey dedicated his time in shaping the future of Gaston County School Hunter Huss, for nearly fifteen years. A wholesome dedicated family man and will be greatly miss.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Mrs. Daisy A. Rainey of Gastonia, NC; two sons: Willie Hardin of High Point, NC, and George Rainey of Augusta, GA; two daughters; Juanita Rabanes of Hawaiian Gardens, CA, and Joyce Rainey of Gastonia, NC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
