Laura was a homemaker. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and sister. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church.
Survivors of Laura include her daughter, Lynn Turnipseed and husband, Steve; son, Mark E. Wallace; grandchildren, Jason Turnipseed, and Jordan Johnson and husband, Matt; and sister, Peggy Nanney St. Clair.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Otho "Okie" Guy Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia on Monday, January 7, 2019. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, January 7, 2019, in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors with Reverend David Belle Isle officiating. Burial will follow in Gaston Memorial Park.
