Samuel Ringler, twenty-seven years a resident of Elkhart and in the country near here, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Mary A Fields, No 627 South Third street at 8:30 pm Friday. He had been ill three years from paralysis, and during the last year was confined to his bed.

The deceased, who was born in Canada August 15, 1844, became a resident of this country forty years ago. He followed the occupation of farming and of day labor.

Surviving him is one son, E L Ringler of Louisville; daughters, Mrs Jerome Landis of Bristol, Mrs Fields of this city, Mrs Ida Hartman of Goshen, Mrs Edward Kelley of River Park, Ind, and Mrs Oliver Zentz of Sailor Mich, and brothers, John and Daniel Ringler of Canada, George Ringler of an unknown locality in Michigan and Abraham Ringler of Canada, George Ringler of Milford Junction.

Mrs Ringler died Nov 11, 1906.

Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist Protestant church at 2:30 pm Sunday.
