Glen I. Moore, age 84, of LaGrange, Indiana died Thursday, January 3, 2019 at LaGrange Parkview Hospital. Glen was born November 12, 1934 in Mondamin, Iowa in Harrison County to Raymond and Esther Faye (Thomas) Moore; they preceded him in death. Glen married Katherine (Kay) Sonafrank on June 3, 1961 in Peru, Indiana. Glen is a veteran of the United States Air Force with over 20 years of service. He was a long time resident of LaGrange County where he worked for the Howe Military Academy. He was an active member in the Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are his wife Kay, a son Kelvin Moore of Angola IN, a daughter Karen Traxmor of Fort Wayne IN and a son Richard Moore of Hope IN. Glen's life is also celebrated by four grandchildren Benjamin Traxmor and Keith, Christian and Shanley Moore in Indiana, three brothers, Bob, Ken and Curtis Moore in Iowa, sisters E. Kathryn Haake in Nebraska and Dorothy Whitmore in Iowa. Glen was also preceded in death by two infant sisters Janice Faye and Connie Jean of Iowa. He graduated from Mondamin High School in Iowa in 1953. He retired from the Air Force from Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC in 1977 and met the love of his life, Kay, while stationed at Grissom AFB near Peru IN. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Carney-Frost Funeral Home in LaGrange with visitation between 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange with Military rites performed by the American Legion Post # 215. Condolences can be made on-line at www.carneyfrostfuneralhome.com .
