Biographical Information:

On January 25th 1863, Cecelia (aka Cecilia) Eugenia married Adolfo L. Carrillo de Albornoz (born on 13 Mar. 1841 in Havana - died at Grand View, Rockland County, New York on Aug 17th 1896). Their children were Rosa (aka Rosita, Rosetta, Nina), Maud, Arthur, Mary Margaret, Agnes Cecilia (1877-Jun. 1878) and Genevieve. Cecelia died December 11th 1910.

Her brother, Charles Fabian Hernandez, was a landscape artist. He painted among other things: 'Noon in the Pasture', 'Coastal Scene with Rock Formation' (1877) and 'Sunset Over the Valley' (1877). He married Florence Newmann. Their daughter, Constance Josephine (Memorial# 71588450), married Alfred David Lamberton in 1898. Their daughter, Helene (Memorial# 148018929), married Percy Ingalls. Helene was an active golfer. Charles died in 1939.

On page 6 of the Rockland County Journal from June 26th 1886 Cecelia was commended for her vocal coaching of pupils at St. John's Sunday School in Piermont. Her children Arthur and Maud were among the singers.

On November 3rd 1888 the Rockland County Journal reported on a parade in Nyack. Although no longer alive, the house mentioned may have been her mother's or her aunt's former residence:
"The procession then countermarched down Broadway to Fifth Avenue, up Fifth Avenue to Jefferson Street, where the houses of Rev. J. M. Van Buren, A. C. Haeselbarth, Cornelius H. Lydecker and Mrs. Hernandez were illuminated."

Petition filed by Cecelia E. H. Carrillo for the probate of the will of Aldolfo L. Carrillo deceased. Citation issued, returnable September 24th."

Cecelia's nickname was mentioned on page 10 of the Rockland County Journal-News from 14 Aug. 1950. Her oldest daughter's name is listed in the legal notice as Rose (aka Rosita) Natalie.
