Our amazing daughter, sister, and friend Susan Dee Sims (SUZI Q) Passed away September 3, 2018 in Stevens Point WI. Suzi was born October 18, 1986
Susan’s life was full of love given to and received by all those who had the privilege to meet her. She was selfless in all her actions, and often sacrificed her own wants and desires be there for others. Suzi was a kid of the streets, she had the privilege to call many places and people home. She loved all those she came in contact with no matter their walk of life, and loved all people she met unconditionally. In return she felt unconditional love from all the many souls she come in contact with in her short time on earth. Susan had a passion for freedom never wanted to be in one place for too long. Life was always an adventure in her eyes and there were just so many places to see and explore. She traveled with many beautiful people on her journey, but Anthony (Shorty) was her constant true best friend whom she was grateful for everyday. Suzi was never to be found without her dog Astrid. Her love for her was unparalleled and Astrid felt the same way for her Suzi. Even though Susan found her life away from her immediate family, she knew no matter why when or what she could always come home. Her family cherished the days, weeks and months she would spend with them and are especially grateful for the past year where they were able to spend more time with her. She always knew her family loved her unconditionally and fully supported her desire to be free, and to roam wherever life lead her. Our hearts are breaking from the understanding that our time with Susan is over for now. But we know that our memories of her will keep us strong. Suzi would not want any of her family blood, or not to be sad. She would want us to listen to good music, laugh and be happy. We know our Suzi Q will always be with us and we know we will feel the strength of her soul around us often. We hope to keep her spirit alive and free by mimicking the unconditional love she felt for us all. We hope we to take life in stride as she did and in her own words “Let’s kick it!” We love you our Suzi Q.
Susan is survived by her loving parents Mike and Denielle Jones, siblings Chris, Sandra, and Sarah, nephews Juju and Jayden and Astrid her loving dog. A celebration of life will be held on her birthday October 18, 2018 at Lone Peak skate park 10140 South 700 East Sandy, UT 84070 From 4:30-10pm Please come and skate, laugh, cry and share with us her truly unique life.
WE would like to honor Susan and her love for all people with donations to the homeless by bringing new in package socks and or underwear to her celebration of life to be donated to those in need. We will also be accepting monetary donations on her behalf for the homeless as well.
