Sarah “Beckie” Ashley of Dallas, Texas passed away January 4, 2019. She was born August 1, 1928 in Collins, Mississippi, the daughter of Daniel Leroy Ashley and Lyda Mae Lindsey Ashley. She was preceded in death by brother, Daniel, Jr. Survived by Brother, John Ashely & wife, Linda; nieces, Karen, Jolynn, Sherry & Kim; nephew, Jason and many other family members. Beckie loved the Lord. She served and was a member of First Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas for over 50 years. An elementary schoolteacher, Beckie taught for over 40 years, beginning in Ennis and then Gladewater. She eventually came back to Dallas ISD, where she retired. Graveside Service is 10 AM Thursday January 10, 2019 at Grove Hill Cemetery, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Wednesday at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.
