Connie Mae Edwards, 81, a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 3, 2019. Connie was born February 5, 1937 in Maud, Oklahoma to Joe and Virgie Snow.
After attending school Connie met and married the love of her life, Floyd and the couple raised two sons. Floyd was in the military so they had the opportunity to travel all over the world. She was a devoted wife and mother and always put everyone's needs before her own. She loved cooking and hosting the family gatherings. She never met a stranger and was the most loving and forgiving person, she didn't believe in holding grudges. She enjoyed sewing, shopping and she loved fishing; especially at their lake house. She was a truly gentle and kind person and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Connie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Floyd Edwards; her son's, Troy Edwards and his wife, Christina and Bruce Edwards and his wife, Kim; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Snow and his wife Carol; and numerous other family members and friends.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, Joe and Virgie Snow; sister, Dorothy Daniel; sister, Christine Lemunion and sister, June Miller.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
