A Funeral Service for Reverend Carl M. Cook, Jr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 6, 2019, at the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Wayne Wood, Reverend Gary Tubb and Reverend Roy Hall officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Carl passed away January 2, 2019, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 77. He was born July 4, 1941, in Gadsden, Alabama, the son of Carl and Bertha Burns Cook, Sr. He married Joyce Ann Wright on April 12, 1963, in Gadsden, Alabama. Carl moved from Gadsden, Alabama to Batesville, Arkansas in 1980. In 1987, they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas where he was the Minister of the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, for 24 years.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Dana (Rico Laidler) Cook of Mountain Home, AR; two grandchildren, Rowan and John-Carl Laidler and four nieces and one nephew, and all of their children.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents and sister, Lexie Cook Wilkes.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with George Hove, Mike Fisher, Jerry Jones, Dr. Mike Breton, Howard Lee Jeffery and Bobbie Crawford as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Joyce Cook Educational Endowment Fund at the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mountain Home.
