My Grandfather Elmer E. Ball was the Father if eight children all born in Louisville, Cass County, Nebraska. He was raised in a family of eleven children his father being James M. Ball and mother Julia E. Noe. Elmer was born in Illinois. The family moved to Springfield,Nebraska in 1870 to purchase Railroad Land at very reasonable price. Being farmer's land was important in sustaining their living. Elmer married there his wife Mary Alice Wilson and raised his family there. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah about 1920, moving west to find work. Later the family all moved to Los Angles, California. Elmer worked as a Rail Road Tender in Nebraska and Utah along with all of the boys.
