Daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Garnett, they all survived the Indian Massacre of 1622. The date of her birth is calculated from information in the 1624 Virginia Muster, where her named is spelled as "Sussan".

Suposedly married Richard Foster about 1641, although this fact has never been documented. For additional info see: http://www.drbgfoster.com/foster.asp
On 3 Jul 2020, I (S. Ashmore) received this suggestion via email: The marriage of Garnett to Foster was 1642 found on ancestry.com in "U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900" at the weblink:
https://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=7836&h=452850&ssrc=pt&tid=70588046&pid=100090423991&usePUB=true

The "documented" children of Sussan/Richard Foster are
1. Robert Foster born btwn 1651-1660 Gloucester County, VA; died 1715 Essex County, VA
2. John Foster born 1665 Gloucester Co., VA; died 1734 Essex Co., VA

Sussan Foster may have died circa 1665 in Gloucester County, (possibly in childbirth: this info from family trees on ancestry.com) although I have seen no documentary evidence to support this fact.

Her father, Thomas Garnett was likely born Lancashire, England. Records show Garnetts settled there from at least the 12th century and church parish records at Kirkby Lonsdale, Lancashire show a Thomas Garnett, son of Robert Garnett, baptized 14 Dec 1585. (see: http://jpky-beverly.blogspot.com/search/label/Virginia%20Colony)

CAUTION: There is no documentary evidence to prove that her mother was Elizabeth POWELL.
