JIMMY WHEELER, 70, of Lake Leon passed away on August 3, 2005 in Eastland. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Wheeler was born on January 28, 1935 in Ranger to Tony and Mattie Lee (Sharp) Wheeler. He attended school in the Ranger area and played on the 1953State Football team. He married Pauline Maddux
on May 24, 1955 in Rising Star. He had owned and operated Frigid Queen, Mini Masters, and Boom Town Restaurant in Ranger. He managed the restaurant at the sale barn in Eastland for 14 years and also worked at the sale barn in Ranger. He was a member of the Eastland American Legion and Merriman Baptist Church.

At the time of his death, Mr. Wheeler was survived by: his wife, Pauline of Lake Leon; daughters, Debra Shadwick and husband, Joe of Wichita Falls and Rhonda Hernandez & husband, Earl of Amarillo; brothers, Glenn Wheeler and wife, Pauline of Lake Leon and Jack Wheeler and wife, Betty of Belton; sisters, Doris Bradford of Eastland, Wanda Cox of Ranger, and Helen Serratt & husband, Noel of Archer
City; grandchildren, Traci Langford of Abilene, Alexandrea Wheeler of Lake Leon, Joseph Shadwick of Wichita Falls, Shane Shadwick of Wichita Falls, Earl Hernandez, Jr., and wife Rhonda of Ranger, Eric Hernandez and wife, Holly of Bedford, Vicki Wilcoxen and husband, Wendell of Ranger, & Steffanie Finley of Stamford. He is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Destiny Langford of Abilene and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Terry Wheeler, and brothers, Clyde, Kenny, and Bobby Wheeler.

Jimmy Wheeler, a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend will be greatly missed by all. We will remember his smile, caring words,mand guidance in our thoughts and hearts forever and always.
