Mrs. Hazel Davis Foster, peacefully passed into God’s presence at the age of 95 on January 4, 2019. She was born on September 8, 1923 in Milton, W.V. to Milford and Maggie D. Davis. She was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church in Jonesville and was retired from Hanes Hosiery after 32 years of service. Mrs. Foster had strong Christian values, loved her church, and loved to serve others through her cooking. She was happiest in her kitchen with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Foster, three sisters, five brothers, and one great-grandchild. Surviving are her sons, Wayne Foster, Dallas (Kathryn) Foster, and Phil (Sylvia) Foster,a sister Helen Carpenter, five grandchildren Rocky (Cindy) Foster, Sandy (Julie) Foster, Wesley (Sylvia) Foster, Angela (Dalton) Love, and Wendy (Eric) Harmon, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, a special friend Gail Land, and a special nephew Ray Foster. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:30 at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends, Sunday, prior to the service from 2:00-3:30. She enjoyed the church bus trips so much that she requested, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Swan Creek Baptist Church Transportation Fund, 2501 Swan Creek Road, Jonesville, NC 28642. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the entire staff on the 5th and 8th floors at Forsyth Medical Center.
