Funeral Services for Steven Wayne “Teck” Teckemeier of Winfield, MO will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. DeWayne Hardcastle of Christ Centered Church in Troy, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Reef, Brad Reef, Jerry Sharpe, Steve Kaltenbach, Nicholas Jarvis, Jr., Arvel Jace Skaggs, Michael Baryo II. and Jim Reisch.

Mr. Teckemeier, 51, passed away Monday afternoon, December 31, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born April 15, 1967 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Robert W. “Bob” and Fredna Sue Reef. Steve was a 1985 graduate of St. Charles High School. He worked as a Bonding Mechanic for GKN Aerospace in Hazelwood, MO. Steve was known as the “Gentle Giant”to his friends and family because of his kind nature and tender heart. He adored his daughters and grandbabies, and spoke of them often with great pride. He was an avid hunter, who loved the great outdoors from the age of 5 when he began hunting with his Dad.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Teckemeier.

Survivors include three daughters: Kayleigh Baryo and her husband, Michael Baryo II, of Wright City, MO, Amanda Teckemeier and Grace Teckemeier, both of Troy, MO; seven grandchildren: Connor, Adalyn, Henry, Anna, Ava, Collin and Joseph; and one more grandbaby due July 30, 2019. Steve also leaves his mother, Sue Teckemeier of O’Fallon, MO; one sister, Peggy Sue Reisch and her husband, Jim, of Cottleville, MO; many other relatives and friends.
