Beverly who was his high school sweetheart. He once wrote "1952. The best year of my life, I was introduced to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Beverly Janet Blackburn whom I met in study hall of our high school, I fell in love with her and the Lord that year. Wes was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and church member. He was a Certified Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant and did financial and estate planning in the Greater Houston area for over forty years, He also served the community as President of the Pasadena Optimist Club and Secretary-Treasurer then President of Pasadena-South Rotary Club. Wes loved God and shared his faith whenever he had an opportunity. He was a wonderful role model for our family and he will be greatly missed.
A poem to Wes: In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide and though we cannot see you, we feel you by our side.
