Marion E. (Walbourne) Cole age 97 of Brockton, died Thursday January 3, 2019 under the care of her daughter Cheryl. She was the wife of the late Frederic Cole.

Marion was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Ernest and A. Beatrice (Bergeron) Walbourne and remained a lifelong resident of the city. After her graduation from Brockton High School in 1939, Marion worked in the office of Regal Shoe in Whitman until 1952. She became a stay at home mother after the birth of her daughter.

In her free time, Marion loved shopping, crossword puzzles, scrabble and time spent with her grandson and great grandsons. She will be remembered as an independent and caring woman who was set in her ways.

Marion was the mother of Cheryl A. Reidy of Brockton, grandmother of Griffith Cole Reidy and his wife Jennifer M. Reidy of Brockton and great grandmother of Robert Cole Reidy and Kevin McKenzie Reidy. She was the sister of the late Doris (Walbourne) Harper, Ernest Walbourne, Jr., Richard Walbourne and Robert Walbourne.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Monday 8:30-9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10 am.
