Born Oct. 25, 1950, in Denton to Robert Lee and George Ann (Summers) Horton, he married Anna Cowan April 25, 1979, in Nocona. Horton owned his own business, Horton Welding, and was a rig welder for 42 years. He also fished and hunted.
Horton is survived by his wife of Decatur; children Jeff Jordan of Dean, Bobbie Jo Horton and Tim Maxwell of Greenwood, Julie Landers and husband, Randy, of Sunset and Terri McBride and Crystal Horton, both of Denton; father [stepfather] John Roper of Bowie; sister Ginger Cade of Valley View; brothers-in-law Bill Tage and wife, Jeri, of Greenwood and Ricky Pigg and wife, Clara, of Bowie; sister-in-law Myra Joan Jones of El Campo; and grandson Tater Jordan of Dean.
