BENJAMIN PETERS departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 to be with his heavenly Father. He gave his life to the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Sandy Level Baptist Church, in Bethune, SC. Later he joined Nazareth Baptist Church in Cassatt, SC where his father, Reverend John C. Peters was Pastor.

Benjamin received his education in the public schools system of Kershaw County, graduating from Jackson High School in Camden, SC.
Upon graduating from high school, he traveled to Albany, NY. He decided after a few months to join his sister in Englewood , NJ. Shortly,afterwards he was drafted into the United States Armed Forces. Completing his services to his Country, he returned to Englewood, NJ.

Benjamin decided he wanted to own his own business. He enrolled in Tyler Barbering School, in New York City, and in 1956 he open Ben' s Barber Shop in Englewood, NJ. He was often referred to as one of the best hair weavers in Bergen County. For many years he worked at the Bergen Correctional System in Hackensack, NJ sharing his expertise. He loved traveling.

Benjamin was a faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Hackensack, NJ, American Legion, Shiloh Lodge #53, and PHA. After forty-five {45} years , he decided it was time to retire and joined his brother Wesley in Myrtle Beach, SC. He became a part of Abundant Life Bible Ministries Church, serving as Trustee and Usher. He loved attending church and weekly Bible Studies. His last Sunday was December 2, 2018.

Benjamin was united in marriage to Laura Alice Peters in 1962 who preceded him in death along with six {6} brothers and three {3} sisters.
