Jon Judith (Judy) Jackson Aucoin, age 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Baton Rouge, her beloved daughter and son by her side. Judy was born on February 21, 1943, to John C. Jackson and Lois Blue Jackson. Judy was a 1961 graduate of Istrouma High School and recently retired, following a long career with the State of Louisiana. A native of Baton Rouge, she was a child of the South and Louisiana to the core. She loved LSU (go Tigers!) and the Saints, but she enjoyed following her grandchildren’s sporting events equally. Judy was earthy and elegant; witty and wise; and packed more than little bit of sass. She embodied honor, integrity and faith, all contained in a heart of gold. Most of all, Judy preached the gospel of family. When all was said and done, family was the end all and be all to her, and her family cherished and benefited from her wise and loving counsel.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald J. Aucoin, her daughter-in-law Laura Huval Aucoin, her sister Margaret McCahill Barber, and her brother Robert E. McCahill. She is survived by her son Marc Aucoin, her daughter Nicole Aucoin Wilkins, son-in-law Jason Wilkins, daughter-in-law Karla Sziber Aucoin, grandchildren Parker Aucoin, Jackson Aucoin, Nicholas Wilkins, Jonathan Wilkins, Michael Aucoin, step-grandchildren Chris Sziber and Katie Sziber, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Jazzy.

At her request, Judy was cremated and will be quietly buried next to her late husband, Jerry, at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. Also at her request and true to her love of life, in lieu of a funeral service, she requested that the family have a large party in her honor in the Spring when crawfish are running and the flowers are blooming.
