harles Edward Brittain of Jackson, Michigan passed away on January 3, 2019 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health.

He was born on July 29, 1928 in Jackson, Michigan to Claude and Emma (Powers) Brittain.
Charles was preceded in passing by his lovely bride of 62 years, Letha Brittain; his parents; one brother, Robert and two sisters, Velma and Barbara.

He is survived by four children, Carl (Heidi), Cheryl (Gary), Joann (J.C.) and Robin; several grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Jean) Brittain; one sister, Juanita (John) Lutz and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends including Dona.

Charles started driving truck at the age of 14. He was the founder of Brittain Trucking and the Co-Founder of Brittain Cut Stone. His greatest pleasure was driving his MACK Truck and always having a load on his trailer. He was a frequent visitor to every diner in the Midwest and never met a stranger. The family wishes to give a special thanks to all the staff at Arbor Manor for adopting Dad as one of their own.

A funeral service to honor his life will be held at the Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson, MI
