Born to parents Warren R Fox 1868-1939 and Addie May (Bierly) 1874-1910, Joy was one of the couple's three known children:

Blake Bierly Fox 1898-1973
Hope B Fox b. 1900-1950
Joy Opal Fox 1901-1980

Joy married Clair Oswel Traver (1901-1936) in 1925. Sadly, he was killed in a hit and run incident. Joy married for a second time to Frank Edward Mercer (1899-1984) in 1937.

Joy was an elementary school teacher in Bakersfield and Boron, California. I do not have any children recorded for her.
