Marcia was a lifelong Special Education teacher, a career she was truly passionate about, and one in which she enriched the lives of so many others. After receiving her Masters Degree, she taught full-and part-time in Pennsylvania and Maryland schools before retiring in 2013.
She and Dan were living the ultimate retirement: traveling around the country in their RV learning all about what she called “our beautiful nation,” and finding hidden gems along the way. She simply loved life and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by her daughters: Deanna, wife of Brian Swartzfager, Bowie, MD, and Stephanie Hook, Syracuse, NY, and her sister Susan Ritter, Alburtis, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, followed by burial at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00am, in the funeral home.
