After dating for a little over a year, Duland Jenkins and Virginia Floras were married November 4, 1966. Their 52 years of marriage were spent together raising their two sons and daughter, working in tobacco, raising hogs, and in later years, spending hours watching Hallmark movies. Her favorite pastime was mowing grass at the farm on her air-conditioned John Deere tractor and her favorite phrase was "Get in the yard youguns!" heard by all the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren when caught chasing after each other, running through the house or wrestling in the floor of the living room.
