Gary Wayne Nichols, 74, husband of Linda (Fueglein) Nichols of Wichita Falls passed from this life on December 29, 2018 at home.
Gary was born in Altus, Oklahoma to Pete and Estelle Nichols on August 9, 1944. He lived in Elmer, Oklahoma for most of his childhood with his mother, brother, Harold Gene Nichols and stepfather, Groff Evans. He graduated from Southside School and National Radio Institute and attended Vernon College. Gary worked for National Linen Service from 1965 and operated a television repair shop in Altus, Oklahoma until 1975, when he accepted another position with National Linen Service and moved his young family to Wichita Falls. After retirement from National Linen, he worked for Trinity Hughes, Stonegate Terrace, and Lakeview Apartments. He lived the remainder of his life in Wichita Falls.
Gary is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; two sons, Brent Wayne Nichols of Lubbock and Kevin Wade Nichols and his wife, Seana of Wichita Falls; 4 grandsons, Alec Bryan Nichols of the home, Ryan Cruz Nichols of Wichita Falls, Kody Phillips of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Zachary Phillips of Holliday; and 1 granddaughter, Jenna Teague and husband Scott of Wichita Falls. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Gene Nichols and wife Marion of Altus, Oklahoma and by 5 nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home at 9th and Broad, Wichita Falls from 6:00 to 7:00, and the memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home at 2:00 with Robert Colston, husband of Gary's niece Patricia officiating.
