FISCHER - Dr. Judith B. Fischer passed away in her home on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Max and Ida Barash, she has resided in East Rockaway for the past 67 years. Dr. Fischer was a Professor Emeritus at Nassau Community College, for Education. She received her doctorate and masters at Hofstra University and undergraduate at Molloy College. Dr. Fischer was a world traveler, historian expert, and family matriarch. Dr. Fischer was the cherished wife of, Irving Fischer, predeceased. Judy is survived by her three children, Karen Rosenstock, Robert Fischer, and Lawrence Fischer, her eight grandchildren Kim, Doug, Jeff, Dave, Andrew, Danielle, Elan, and Logan, her four great grandchildren Jaxon, Alexa, Stella, and Bryce and another on its way. She loved and is loved by all her entire family. Funeral Services will be held at Boulevard Riverside Chapels, 1450 Broadway, Hewlett 11557, at 11am. Graveside services will directly follow at New Montefiore Cemetery, Wellwood, Long Island. Shiva will be held at 258 Waverly Avenue, East Rockaway, NY, following the graveside services, at 3pm. Shiva will also be held again at 258 Waverly Avenue, East Rockaway, NY, on January 6, 1pm to 6pm, and at 42 Amagansett Drive, Morganville, New Jersey, on January 7, 2018 from 2pm to 6pm and January 9, 2018, from 7pm to 9pm.
