Connie Fletcher, 71, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully in her home on Jan. 1, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David C. Fletcher.
She was born Oct. 11, 1947 in Besoco, WV, then graduated from Glenville State and West Virginia University. She was an educator and librarian for 30 years at Rayon and Gihon Elementary Schools. She had a very close, loving relationship with her school family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Stacey Bryant (Tony) of Rural Hall, NC; Jon Fletcher (Staci) of Pickerington, OH; son-in-law Ryan Cochran (Jessica) of Lubeck, WV and her beloved grandchildren, Madison, Cole, Allison, Tyler, Drew, and Brody. She is also survived by her siblings Lawrence Via, Jeri Yeagley, and Gary Via, and many others who love her.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kelli Cochran, and her parents Walter and Oma Via.
A celebration of her life will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV, with Pastor Adam Paff officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation with family and friends will be from 4 – 7p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at the funeral home.
