Dean proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy serving in the South Pacific. For many years, Dean farmed and was co-owner of Martin's Hybrid Seed Corn Company.
Dean was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae (Cutchall) and they have spent the past 72 years together.
His memberships include the Hancock American Legion Post 720, longtime Director for the Western Iowa Mutual Insurance.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Kenneth Martin.
Survived by:

Granddaughter: Adrienne
Great-grandchildren: John and Elise
