Eleanor was born April 25, 1914, to Tom and Millie Maresh in Valley City, North Dakota. She was raised in Valley City and educated there. In 1947, Eleanor married Les Gauper in Valley City. Following their marriage, they moved to Riverdale for a few years and then moved to Max. In 1965, Less died. Eleanor remained in Max until 1979 when she moved to Garrison. She lived in Garrison until her death on January 8th, 2000. She is survived by one son, Richard;grandchildren, Mark and Dean Marchant, Timmy Brown, Debra Wenzel, David Gauper, and Lori Kishel; great-grand-children Kjerstin and Kaylie Kishel. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Joan.
